There wasn't anything dramatic happening, and that's exactly what I loved about it. It was simply a beautiful sunset, an open prairie, and a few quiet minutes to stand still and take it all in.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs I painted this scene, I found myself simplifying the landscape and letting color do the work. The vibrant sky contrasts with the calm prairie below, capturing the peaceful feeling of standing in a place where there was nothing to do but pause and take it all in.
