Inspired by an unforgettable sunset at Whiterock Conservancy, Where Colors Wander celebrates the moments when light transforms an ordinary landscape into something extraordinary. An electric pink sky spilled across the Raccoon River, filling the water with vibrant reflections and surrounding the prairie with unexpected color.
Standing quietly beside the river was a historic 1920s barn that once served as a community dance hall. Its weathered walls became a reminder that landscapes hold more than natural beauty, they also carry the stories, memories, and shared experiences of the people who came before us. This painting celebrates the place where color, history, and imagination meet, inviting us to see the prairie as both a living landscape and a keeper of stories.
