Painting size 22”x 22” x 1.5”
Framed Size 23.5 x 23.5" Floater Frame in wood- Cherry
Zinnias are wonderfully resilient flowers, continuing to bloom through the heat of summer. They're often associated with endurance and lasting affection, which seemed especially fitting for this bold, energetic painting.
In A Brilliant Defiance, fiery red and orange petals burst outward, interrupted by unexpected flashes of bright chartreuse and delicate white lines. Some petals are fully developed, while others retain the expressive colors and marks from the painting's earliest stages.
I chose this title because there's something almost rebellious about this flower. It doesn't seem interested in being quiet or delicate. It's full of color, movement, and strength, unapologetically taking up space.
Oil on canvas, the painting is framed in cherry wood. The signature is burned into the left side on the frame. The piece is wired and ready to hang. Keep out of direct sunlight to preserve its vibrant hues.
