The bridge just a short walk from where I stayed at Whiterock Conservancy became one of my favorite places to visit. I watched countless sunrises and sunsets from this spot, often returning simply to see what the sky would do next. Every evening felt different, and I never grew tired of watching the changing light reflect across the water.
This painting captures one of those unforgettable sunsets. Instead of trying to recreate every detail, I focused on preserving the feeling of standing there as the day faded into evening. The unexpected colors reflect the way that moment stayed with me and the quiet optimism I often felt at the close of each day.
